I've always had good results from Scotts products, but this was disappointing. Results were no better than 50%.

Be still, my grass

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This stuff really works! It has managed to keep my lawn full, despite being in southern California in the middle of a drought. Please keep in mind, this isn't an instant solution (it's not miracle grow..haha). It does take a while to work. My suggestion is just keep on keeping on and you'll see results eventually.

Not happy with the results

Gotta say considering i bought what i think is a superior product in Scotts, I am not very happy with the results. I recently applied Scott’s grass seed Sun and shade mix to a new area. dirt was tested prior and found to be good quality. I also applied triple action turf builder before seeding as recommended by Scotts. the seed started to grow with nice grass but quickly started turning to a combination of crab grass and almost like a thick tall fescue. now the entire area is crab grass and this fescue. not happy about this. is it something with the seed? dirt was nice, prepped clean dirt. why would this happen?

Bought this 5 weeks ago. Watered twice a day for over two weeks with outdoor temps perfect. I see no difference in grass except for a few more weeds. A expensive lesson!

So disappointed!

I spread a full 12 lb. bag of Thick'R Lawn Sun & Shade in my front yard more than six weeks ago and part of a 40 lb. bag in my back yard two weeks ago. Both yards have a lot of thin and bare spots, and I thought that this would at least start the process of filling those spots in, saving me from hand seeding each and every one. I have watered both consistently, but after six weeks of not seeing a single blade of grass germinate in the bare spots in the front, I can only conclude that this is a dud. My father also purchased this product for his lawn, and has had the same disappointing results. He even planted some in a pot, watering it consistently, to see what, if anything, would germinate, and there has been zero growth. It makes me wonder what kind of seed, if any, is actually in this product. I trusted Scotts to sell a product that would at least germinate to some degree, but that trust was evidently misplaced.
