Great product

It is a good way to seed your lawn, especially if you have bare spots like I did, but it actually makes the ground better. There are less weeds too. The lawn looks so much thicker and greener. Very good product and easy to use.

Growth in two weeks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Scotts Turf Builder Thicker'R Lawn Sun & Shade arrived in what I call the perfect time. My lawn was decimated from grubs and showed it's ugliness the end of August. Having to remove all the dead sod/grass and treating it for the grubs was a task and each mending to the soil needs the right time to do it's job with weather permitting! Time was right to add soil and seed. Prepped and cared for it according to the instructions. It took a couple of weeks to see any type of growth. With each day passing it seems to fill in a little more but not as even as I had hoped. Maybe it just needs more time like everything else and hopefully would fill in and make my lawn look as beautiful as before the grubs took a hold of it. I think to see the full results would have to be next season when everything has rooted very well and has taken hold.

Perfect yard builder

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mix is easy to put down. It has made a huge difference in the hue of our lawn and thickened our grass up tremendously. We used another mix but this worked far better under our tree canopy covered grass. Did not kill spring bulbs (crocus family, iris reticulata) that pop up in spring either as a showy spring color!

Easy Lawn Care

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We did a fall application to our front yard in September with the Scotts Thick'R Lawn fertilizer. Per the directions, after applying this to our yard we watered in the fertilizer for over four weeks and did not see a difference in our front yard verse our back yard. Our back yard did not have any fertilizer applied to it. I am hoping with the rain and snowy season coming it will be much thicker in the spring. The fertilizer was easy to pour into our Scott brand spreader and the bin held the entire bag of fertilizer so we didn't have to refill the spreader. We liked that the bag had setting information on it for multiple types of spreaders (hand held, drop, and spreader).

Is the blue a sugar coating?

Didn't have much luck with it. Planted last fall and it looked good but into summer it kind of half way died out and now with the cold looks a bit better. Next time I will get local all fescue see this stuff sucks

It Works!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you want grass, this will do it. Sun, shade, it didn't matter, grass grew. I used it on completely barren areas that grass has just not been able to take a foot hold in, and it worked. Highly recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Actually, I didnt see much difference after application. I've been using Scott products exclusively for 3 years. I've never been disappointed with the products. Compared to the other lawns on my street, mine appears darker, healthier and best treated.
