Doesn't use all of the water

I bought this a few weeks ago. I plan to return it because it doesn't use all of the water when brewing. Once I pour my coffee, water continues to pour into the carafe for an hour.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My Second Black & Decker Coffee Maker

My 1st B&D coffee Maker began to have issues after 6+ years, decide to upgrade to this model, after a few days my husband and I love it has many new options than what we had, yes I agree that you can't see the time while the time on but I have clocks on stove and Microwave so that not a negative issue, thanks B&D for updating you coffee maker models.

Just bought this coffee maker to replace a NINJA that was only 2 1/2 yrs old. After 45 minutes of decision making I the the B+D. Never had one BUT new about the quality of the Co. ALL features easy to use and a really hot and great tasting cup of coffee. Love the timer for the warmer too. PS......Brews quicker than the Ninja too!!!!!

I can't think of any problem with this coffeemaker except that the settings are too small to read easily. I have had it for 3 months and it makes great tasting coffee.

Great Coffee, terrible microprocessor

I bought this new version of the B&D coffee maker with the Vortex technology. It truely makesa a great cup of coffee. I set it for the dtrong brew, and the cofffee is always good.
Now for the bad part. First, as soon as the clean reminder happened, I did a cleaning cycle. Worked OK the first time, went through about a quarter of the pot, then sat and continues the cycle as described in the manual. Next time it needed to be cleaned, the unit shut itselt off at the break point in the cleaning cycle. I had to turn on a brew cycle to finish processing the water in the resevoir. Then, it started to shift to the 120 warming timer long before the full pot of coffee was brewed. This continued to happen so I returned the unit for a new one. This second one started doing the same thing after about a month. Most times, the pot is about a quarter done when the 120 minute countdown starts. I am sure this has to do with the chip in the unit, as the pot of cofffee brews if you just tunr it on, takes about 15 minutes, and then you get about 100 minutes on the warmer timer.
Seeing I have seen this happen on my two, and a friends unit also, they are likely all like this. B&D needs to check into thier program in the processor and fix this very anoying issue.

I love my black and decker coffee maker. I can program it to be ready every morning when I get up for work. It’s easy to program and to clean. Super practical. I’m glad this coffee maker made it to my home.

for a basic coffee maker that won't break the bank - this is the one to get. You can program it to be ready in the morning, it will shut off on its own and the coffee is delicious,
