We are very pleased with this coffee maker. The 'VORTEX" technology ensures that all of the beans are saturated. A problem we encounter with our old coffee make. We prefer our coffee on the stong side and appreciate that this is an available option. The one feature that I wish this maker came with is a signal to indicate the brewing cycle was completed. If it had that.... five stars instead of four.

I have had this for several weeks now & it works great. Pros: it makes a great cup of coffee It has a timer for the heating element tentative you can choose multiple amounts of time & you can turn the element off all together. It’s a great size, takes up very little counter space Great price Easy to operate
Cons: The vortex feature has a red piece of plastic inside the lid that is not easy to clean. It brews rather slowly
Overall I really like it & would recommend it.

Great Features For the Money

I have only made a few pots of coffee with this coffee maker and so far I am happy with it. It makes a good pot of coffee and has a few features that my other one didn't have. I like the Brew Strength selection feature and the built in cord storage thing. At first I thought the Vortex Technology thing sounded like something you see in a vacuum cleaner infomercial but after seeing how it works, I changed my mind. I also like the Auto Clean System because it kind of forces you to clean the unit after every 60 pots of coffee. I used to wait until something went wrong with my other coffee maker before cleaning it.
I don't care for the Keep Warm function because it forces you to set a timer for how long you want to keep the coffee warm after brewing. You have 120 minutes to drink 12 cups of hot coffee. One of the settings is OFF, but what that does is not keep the coffee warm at all after making it. Also, the amount of time you have left before the coffee maker turns off is displayed instead of the clock. If you set it to 120, it will display 120, 119, 118 etc all the way down to 0.
If you hit the Brew Later button by mistake, there is no way to cancel it. At least I haven't figured that out yet if there is. I had to set the time to a minute later to brew another pot of coffee. In other words, at 9:00am I hit the Brew Later button instead of the Keep Warm button. Pushing the Brew Later button did nothing and neither did unplugging it. I had to set the Brew Later time to 9:01am and then everything was ok. I added some water and it started heating it.

Rust on Hot Plate!

Never had a coffee maker's hot plate get rusty before! Even the bottom of the carafe has rust on the bottom that can't be scrubbed off now. The paint/coating on the hot plate is worn off, and now is rusty. Still makes coffee, keeps coffee hot up to 2 hours so that's good, rusty plate,, not so good.

Only had it a month and I'm want to throw it away. You are supposed to be able to pull the coffee pot out and it stops draining, nope!! Try to pour a cup of coffee and it runs down the side of the pot onto the counter. Buttons are hard to read.

Ordered it not thinking changing the colour from silver to black with no price difference would mean no reusable filter would come

Disappointed

Bought this coffee maker to replace a Cuisinart that I had to replace twice for the same default. Very unhappy with this one because of a couple of reasons..... 1. When carafe is removed it continuously drips coffee onto the heating plate.(Even when Coffee is done completely) 2. When pot is on the time does not display. 3. Does not heat the coffee very hot at all.

I bought this to upgrade from my 4 cup Mr Coffee maker. Using the same Bunn brand filter and the same coffee this thing constantly overflows and puts grinds in my coffee. Not satisfied with this purchase at all
