Purchased in-lieu of a really expensive high-speed blender and very happy with the performance. I cook mostly vegan for two and this blender has more than enough power to make smooth, nut-based sauces (no pre-soaking) and instant vegan mayo. I use it at least twice a week. I haven't yet used the accessories other than the blending cup, which seems to improve the performance of the blender, but I love that everything goes into the dishwasher. I didn't think I'd use the variable speed control but it's proven a great feature to have.

I have had the stick before and loved it but the need to press 2 button for it to start is a hassle. I have semi long finger nails and it is not easy as my other one was. Who make these decisions to make these changes must be a man who does not use it. Not happy

The hand blender is perfect for soups and sauces. It is also terrific for making your own puréed baby food.

I haven't used it as much as I wanted to yet for smoothies, etc... I will say it is well built and should be fine for my intended purpose... BUT... And there is always that “big but”... The only reason I gave this a Three instead of a four star is for that stupid safety button. This thing MUST have one button operation. I'm going to look into finding a work around. It's a real PITA!

I had an older model of this (back when they first came out & it was only the hand blender itself) & gave it to my youngest daughter when I moved then realized just how much I use this. So my oldest daughter bought this for me for Christmas & I am thankful to have this type of item again. Very sturdy & works wonderfully.
