I use this blender for lentil and pea soups. It works well, giving the soups a creamier texture. I didn’t notice any nicks on the blades when it was new. Now however, I have been noticing small nicks on the blades. I do not grind anything hard, like soup bones, only peas and lentils that have been softened by cooking. I like this blender, but hope I’m not getting any metal fragments in my soup.

This hand blender met all my expectations. I was looking for something easier than a large blender for making humus. This fit the bill. It easily created a smooth, creamy mixture of the same quality as the large powerful blender. I found the two button press required to turn it on easy and intuitive- as well as being an important safety consideration. The only cons I might mention are 1) it is less powerful than I expected and will bog down if pushed too hard; and 2) the shroud on the blender attachment prevents the mixture from feeding from the top, and so requires constant up/down motion of the unit to engage all of the material being mixed. I consider both of these minor and manageable.

I really like this product. It's easy to assemble and clean. The only negative I have is it's weight, it does get heavy with extended use. Thus far I have had no problems with it and I would recommend it to anyone.

I used my Cuisinart to make Cream of Broccoli soup and it worked fantastically! I the past I had to purée my soup in batches in my blender and it took time. The Cuisinart had my soup finished in no time! A great Christmas present!
