Excellent hand blender but with new problems

I have loved my previous Cuisinart Hand Blender. When it started to have signs it was wearing out, I immediately tried the update. It works beautifully and has added some great features, including a variable speed. So, I would still recommend it. It is heavier, longer than the old one, which requires getting used to the feel. It comes with attachments to make it more versatile for a range of tasks. Two difficulties: 1) Managing the lock and the on/off buttons, which much be done simultaneously with both hands. 2) Opening the chopper container--certainly not as easy as the YouTube videos demonstrate. I have given up using the chopper but cannot give up using the lock mechanism.

I like the product because is convenient for mixing, but the only issues I have with it is that to turn it on you have to push the unlock button as well as the on button, and I have rheumatoid arthritis, and it is difficult to try and push both buttons at the same time, because is hard on my fingers.
