Doesn’t spread according to setting

I have a 10,000 square foot lawn. I bought 2 5,000 sqft bags of fertilizer and put the spreader on recommended setting (3). I walked my entire lawn and only used 1 bag. It doesn’t say on the bag to go back over or not. So I don’t know if I used too little or not.

quite disappointed in this machine

I wish i had read the reviews from the bottom up. Could have avoided a terrible purchase. This is truly a terrible products. The Drive wheel skipped along the ground half the time without turning. When it kicked in, it would then throw all of the fertilizer that had been fed out along the previous ten to twenty feet. I am going to have a bizarre lawn full of over and under fertilized spots. Though i plan to return the spreader for a refund, I cant do the same with the fertilizer spread wonkily all around my yard. If anyone can recommend a decent spreader, please share.

Excellent Product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just received this spreader via FEDEX. It comes preassembled. It was well packaged. Unfolded the handle and adjusted the easy to read dial for my fertilizer application. Filled the hopper and was ready to go. The edge guard worked perfectly along flower beds and sidewalks. Access is kind of a pain but it is not a continual use adjustment so it doesn't distract from the product. The mixer at the bottom of the hopper broke up clumps of fertilizer easily. Application was smooth and even throughout the yard. Very pleased with this machine and I would highly recommend it. It cleaned up quickly with the garden hose and is ready for its next use.

No overspray wasted on the hard surfaces due to the edgeguard feature. If you're looking for an all around spreader, this one does it all.

Nice Size for small spaces

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I Received a Free Sample of this Product from the Manufacturer....It is a Nice Compact size for small areas, Easy to set dial. It is a bit wobbly when poring seed into it so had to have it on solid ground, I had it on cement. The Edgeguard works pretty good, except it does shoot some of the seeds in that area where they are not supose to go when edgeguard is on. It does disperse the seeds well, and is easy to push around the yard. Yes, I would recommend this if you have a small area to seed.

Doesn’t spread evenly

I purchased this spreader alone with Scott’s Weed and Feed. I should have read the reviews but I assumed since I had success with Scott’s products in the past then it should be a quality piece of equipment. However I now have green striped all over my yard where the spreader did not evenly distribute the product. It seems to be a very common problem after reading reviews. Why keep selling a product that is so flawed??? Hope I don’t have to spend all summer with a zebra lawn...

nice spreader

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used this spreader to overseed my lawn. I t worked great giving me an even distribution of small particle size grass seed. Will have to wait to use it for fertilizing the sprouting seed. being light weight and compact it stores nicely in my storage shed.
