Love the spreader

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this spreader. It distributes my seed and fertilizer evenly. I really like the edge guard it keeps the product right where I want it and off of my concrete and landscaping.

Plastic Spinner Parts Fail

I was quite satisfiesd with my spreader until thisa week when the plastic spiiner parts just came apart.
How can i but replacement parts for this plastic spier pieces that failes. rest of the spreader is in excellent conditions so I prefer not to have to buy a 2nd one

Nice features especially the Edgeguard.
Easy to store in that cluttered garage.
I did find tht the dial for the spreader appliation rate seemed to change during the spreading. The bumps and lumps in my lawn may have been enough to vibrate the dial position.

Very disappointed in this product

Have used this spreader for about two summers now and was applying lime when the spreader mechanism fell apart. I have used this about 6 times since purchased. Will not buy a scotts product again.
Pros: Easy to Use
Cons: Didn't work as expected, poor quality, no value for price paid
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Longtime Scotts product owner - very disappointed with this spreader

I just came inside after my almost new Scotts Edgeguard spreader broke. I've only used it twice. Very frustrating to say the least. Like others apparently, the shaft holding the distribution plate snapped on mine. I take care of my equipment and know what I'm doing in the yard. This was simply a case of a poorly made product. My expectation with a Scott product is it lasting a reasonable amount of time.....this particular spreader failed to do that. I did't read any reviews prior to making this purchase. Didn't think it was necessary because I've owned other Scott products and felt they were above average quality. Based on my experience my recommendation would be to avoid this spreader.
Cons: Didn't work as expected, broke after using twice. not repairable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
