perfect size for my lawn

purchased this spreader to spread fertlizer instead of hiring someone to do the job. works wonderfully and results have been outstanding.
Pros: Value, Easy to Use, Effective
Cons: small prop up stand is on flimsy side

Very easy and reliable to use

I have had this spreader for 3 years and have found it to be almost fool proof to operate. I like the option to cut out one side of the dispenser so as not to waste fertilizer on sidewalks or streets. I have a yard that is about 3/4 of an acre and love that it is easily maneuverable around trees and gardens.
To clean it, I just spray with water and hang it back up in the garage for the next use.
Plan to use it for years to come.
Pros: Value, Quality, Easy to Use, Good Directions, Effective, light weight and simple

Easy to use and store

This is easy to use and store. I like the edge guard to prevent product from getting on my sidewalk. I even put the bag in the spreader to store it for the future. The number controls make it easy. It is hard to see where the powder spreads so I sometiimes put too much product in one area.
Pros: Value, Easy to Use, Effective

Won't shut off

Product is OK for the price if you are going to use fine grained products, but the spring that controls the slide door at the bottom is weak and the slightly larger particles of fertilizer jam in there and the little slide door won't close. I checked with support and all they could say is "we don't have any parts available for that". After 2 uses, it's going back for return.
Cons: Didn't work as expected
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Scotts Turf Builder Edgeguard Mini Broadcast Spreader is an excellent addition to my weekend lawn maintenance needs. I use it probably 6-8 times a season and it does a good job of broadcasting all Scott's products for my lawn care needs. Its simple to use and easy to disassemble for storage when not in use. I highly recommend this product if you need something that's easy to use and especially if you are going to use it no 10-12 times per season.

I recently purchased this spreader to replace a drop type that was not calibrated correctly. I am really happy with the mini spreader and can get the job done in a snap. I would recommend that the plastic wheels be closed on the inside instead of being a half mold. It is a bit of a pain to wash out the product that gets deposited when applying to wet lawn. Otherwise.. great spreader!

Cons: cleaning inside the wheels

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Edgeguard Mini Spreader worked great. I used it to put down Scott's Winter Fertilizer and the coverage is definitely better than my other spreader. Edgeguard is great as I don't have to worry about spreading product on my neighbor's yard.
