Easy to use and durable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product has multiple settings and is easy to use. It's wonderful for spreading seed and I have also used it to spread salt and it works great for all applications.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This spreader is perfect for my lawn. The ability to adjust it from a 5 feet spread to a 3 feet spread with the flip of a lever allows me to adjust for the variety of widths I have in my lawn.
Pros: Easy to Use, width control

Edgeguard=Bad spreading all the time

The edgeguard feature gets in the way of normal spreading. Instead of a throwing a nice arc of fertilizer forward that is the same left to right, the right side of spreading gets clipped off by the retracted edgeguard. Why is this an issue? because you have to make a conscious effort to think about your overlaps....you don't get the same distance to the left and right of the machine for coverage.
When you put the edgeguard in action, it does restrict spread to the right, but when retracted it is just design very poorly so it does not get fully out of the way.
Planning to crack off the edgeguard so it spreads evenly.

There has been no change from the last post on the construction of this product. I bought this product today plastic bearings you got to be kidding me

Best spreader for small to average size yards

The Edgeguard is excellent for keeping the product you are spreading from going into areas that you do not want them to. Also, great for spreading ice melt/salt in the winter. Highly recommend this product for the price.

Spreader leaves yellow ( burnt ) lines all over your lawn.

Used spreader at proper setting and spacing. Yellow lines (burnt grass) have appeared all over lawn. The lines follow path of the center of the spreader as if there is fertilizer leaking straight down from the spinner wheel.
Cons: Didn't work as expected, damaged lawn
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
