calaibration way off want my drop spreader back

purchased 2 one wire cable broke. Other could not understand why for 2 years found little results in my 1-5 step process. Only told to buy more and more on there products. Finally I called in again great lady was honest with me and said "need to get it calibrated" WHAT is this all about shame on you for not putting info on label BIG BIG MISTAKE
Cons: Didn't work as expected, Messy, Difficult to use, none
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Doesn't work

Bought the product to spread fertilizer. but it has never worked properly. When loaded any more than half way,the plastic wheel don't have anough traction on any surface to make the spreader spin. Gears grinded on the first try. Construction is very flimsy. Even if it worked on a full load, I wouldn't expect it to last an entire season. Edge guard is inadequate and only works on one side.
Pros: Good Directions
Cons: Didn't work as expected, Difficult to use

Broke after 3 uses

Exactly like the reviewer of Dec 10th 2012 the spinner broke off during my third session with it. As below concept is good but the quality is poor and cannot take the advertised load.
Pros: cheap
Cons: Didn't work as expected, poor quality

Love the light weight of the spreader

It is very light weight which makes it esy to handle on different terrains.
I also like the feature to chose a directional path for the products to be dispensed

Horrible Product

It's a cheap piece of junk. We ended up hand broadcasting fertilizer across our lawn Instead of using it. I wouldn't even recommend it for a kid to play with.
Cons: Messy, Didn't work as expected, Difficult to use

My wife recently purchased the Edge Guard spreader for me. I had had an off brand spreader for many years. At first, I told her to return it, I did not need a new one. She told me "just try it". So glad I did. The Edge Guard works great. No more sweeping the over spray up and re-distributing it in the lawn. I wish I had purchased it long ago. Been using all of Scotts fertilizers for years. I am the envy of my block.
Pros: Value, Quality, Easy to Use, Good Directions, Effective
