Great Spreader but......

Love the spreader but trying to figure out the application rates is a little work. I was applying the Scotts Winter weed and feed....the suggested setting on the spreader is 6. However at that rate my bag of weed and feed ( which should cover 5,000 sq. feet) covered only 1,000 sq feet!!!! I had planned to use the one bag for my front and backyard but because I went by the recommended settings I had to buy another bag.
So..... reading the application rate on the bag it suggests an application rate of nearly 3 lbs of product per 1000 sq feet....so with that information I set my spreader to setting #2 and got the appropriate amount dispensed from the spreader.
A little confusing.....but still love the spreader and Scotts products!
Pros: Effective
Cons: Didn't work as expected, spreader settings unreliable
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Spreader

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After trying this mini spreader I will never go back. This spreader was great in applying my grass seed this year . We had sp much rain we have to replace almost the whole yard. It made the job easy and it was done in record time. I am looking forward to applying my Scott's turf builder once it starts growing.

The product works great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received it about 1 month ago. I used it twice once with grass seed and once with Scotts Green Max Lawn Food. It is easy to use the directions on the spreader are very helpful.I Told my friends about it and told them if they need a Spreader to buy Scotts. I can not use the Turf Builder right now because I put down grass seed. I will use it later on in the season.

Best Spreader ever !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This spreader is incredible..love the edge guard to prevent fertilizer from getting on my sidewalk and in my flower beds . Lightweight but very sturdy ! I highly recommend this spreader ! You won’t be dissatisfied !! Than’ you Scotts !
