Absolutely zero instructions on setting use! Several attempts made to locate on-line. Per instructions on website, go to product specs and download. Absolutely nothing to download! Horrible instructions especially for the price paid!

Product is not built correctly

Absolute terrible spreader it left lines in my yard. I believe the wheels block the product because the rotating s[reading wheel throws the product in the wheels and it just drops straight down and leaves lines.

I have an older (35+) yrs., Accugreen drop spreader which this model replaces in model number only. Recently the axel rusted over time failed and snapped wheel off. I contacted Scotts and they mailed replacement, axel, bearing and assorted hardware. I replaced all and the spreader is working beautifully. WHAT A COMPANY....NEVER BUY ANOTHER BRAND..

I have had this spreader about 3 years now and it's still working great. In winter I use it to spread ice melt on the driveway and in Spring and Fall I use it to spread fertilizer and grass seed. It does what it has to do. I get my exercise too as I use it on an acre property.

Not compatible with Scott's fertilizer

I have an 18000sq ft lawn. Purchased 2 42lb bags of Scotts turf builder weed and feed. Each of which do 15000sq ft. At the recommended setting for Scott's rotary spreaders of 3.5, I used 13 lbs of product. .72lb/1000 SQ ft. It was supposed to be 2.8lbs/1000sq ft. I called support and they said that it's normal to have leftover product and to not use any other setting then 3.5. Scott's needs a conversation for this spreader!

We're sorry to read about your disappointment with Scotts Turf Builder Edgeguard Mini Spreader and appreciate your feedback.
Use extreme caution if going over the lawn again. We can not determine exactly what setting would be appropriate for reapplying over the same area again. It is always better to underapply than to overapply. Overapplications can cause severe lawn damage. We recommend you check the calibration of the spreader.
We want you to be confident in our products. For this reason, we offer a product guarantee to our consumers. At your earliest convenience, please reach out to us at 888-270-3714 if we can further assist.

Scott’s know it’s JUNK!!

Ruin my lawn. Some of Scott’s products require the lawn to be wet or damp. The wheels are cheep hollow plastic pieces of crap. When they get damp or wet and what ever product you’re using clumps up all over the inside of the wheel. Eventually it falls off and causes wheel burns all over your lawn. My lawn is ruin. It’s burnt everywhere. Which is going to cause me to buy Scott’s grass seed to fix all the damage. So maybe that’s what they had in mind when they design this piece of crap. Double dipping isn’t that what it’s called. Not to mention when I want to include pictures of my bunt lawn it won’t let me!

Nice smaller spreader

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This spreader is good for small lawns. I really like the guard, so you can keep material from going where you do not want it. The spreader it easy to use and plastic makes it easy to clean. Metal parts tend to rust on other spreaders.
Pros: Easy to Use, Effective, Good Directions, Quality, Value
