Broken on second use

Bought this last year, used it 1 time. This year, started using, and cable for release.. Plastic broken. No way to fix. Going to get another one, so that I can get my yard done. Bring back the old metal units please.

No setting ratios anywhere

So product label says go to Scott’s.com for spreader settings ratios & website says look at product label. In the meantime I have yet to find what setting is 5lb/1000sqft

We are sorry that you have had a hard time finding the setting for your Turf Builder EdgeGuard Mini Broadcast Spreader we will share this with our Marketing and Web Teams. Spreader settings are not equivalent to the number of pounds per square feet. We do list the settings for our spreaders on our products on the product label. If you are not using a Scotts product we recommend setting the spreader to 1/4 of the setting range and test this with enough product to cover 1000 sq ft. If you run out too soon, lower the setting. Have a lot left over, increase the setting. We would like the opportunity to gather some additional information and offer assistance. Never Buying A Scotts Product again.

These products are cheap and do not work properly. Constantly gets clogged. Plastic is fragile. Uneven application of product. It's honestly easier and more accurate spreading what you need by hand, and there is less wastage.

Please note, the product should drop down and be flung out onto the lawn. If the rotor plate is not turning, then it will not toss out the product. Please try holding the drive wheel or the axle while spinning the rotor plate as this will help determine if the rotor plate is broken.

Mini spreader

I bought the spreader with no directions. It tells you to go on this website which has no directions. The directions they do have stuck and don't work. Your products are worthless if your IT department sucks.

Cheap…cheap!

Why so cheaply made? First week, the spinning finger in the bucket comes loose and disappears. A brand new, worthless spreader!

What ever you do. Don't buy this spreader. It doesn't work half the time. I bought it for the cost and that was a big mistake.
