The grass is greener with persistence!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works well. But do give it some time. Do not expect miracles over the weekend. I went in thinking I would have luscious greener grass within 14 days but I did take a bit longer and persistence is key. My grass does look better than my neighbors and where it started.

Great little Spreader

I used it to spread some fertilizer in a smaller area of my yard, I have a 1/4 of an acre, I would not recommend this spreader for this size of property, but for a smaller area it worked great. I would highly recommend this spreader for the smaller lots in planned development subdivisions.

However, when the spreader distributes product, some of the product gets caught in the space in the molded wheels which then dumps the excess product in one spot when finished spreading. Solid wheels would work better.

Saves so much time

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this larger size Scotts turf builder edge guard. I usually have a hand type spreader that I use and it can be messy and takes so much more time now that my yard is much bigger. This makes spreading seed, fertilizer and topsoil even so much easier and quicker and doesn't break your back. It's big enough you can throw a bag or two in and get to work and make it a good distance before needing to add more.You can be assured that there is a setting for just about anything you want to lay down in your yard. I also like that it goes straight down instead of spreading grass and or dirt everywhere besides where I want it ; ) I like that the handle is the perfect height so you aren't arching or bending to get the job done. It's durable and seems to go over garden and yard terrain easily. The wheels are right size and shape to fit into areas ride ons can't get to making this a very versatile tool for everyone. Overall I am satisfied with this awesome Scotts product and definitely recommend.

Spreader review light weight and small.

Great Light Weight Easy to Use Fertilizer Spreader

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A wonderfully easy compact spreader to use. It folds up easy and is nicer to use since it has wheels rather than a hand spread. Also it is light weight. Since it is plastic it will not rust like metal spreaders can.

Perfect for small yards.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The turf builder edge guard mini spreader is perfect for small yards. I used it to apply Bermuda grass to my 400 yd.² grass area. I was impressed that it does not throw grass seed or fertilizer onto my patio or my shrubs.
It’s very easy to assemble, my 11-year-old granddaughter did it for me. If you have a small yard, this is the spreader for you. I would recommend this product to anyone with a small yard.
