[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Can't wait to use it when I get my auto ship products for the year. Looks like my Full size one. Will work great when need to do small areas in my yard and smaller yards in family. Won't throw material as far so great for smaller areas.

Broadcast and drop spreaders

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second time reviewing this product. The first time I did not have the time to actually use it after receiving it. And I believe I stated because I really can't see my first review that fertilizer and lawn products that you would use in a spreader have gone up so much in price that I was not able to purchase anything at the time the item was received. I believe I did state that I noticed it had a guard on it which is very good especially with a broadcast spreader so you can Shield the fertilizer or whatever you're spreading with the unit from getting on plants that might not be able to cope with a strong lawn fertilizer or worse yet a weed and feed. But I gave it a try with regular fertilizer without the weed and feed just to be on the safe side and yes it works very well. As has been my experience with 99% of Scott's products. The only reason why I gave this four stars and maybe it's not fair but I still like my Scotts drop spreader only because like I explained before I'm a little worried with a weed and feed around my flowering plants. Although like I said the guard on this would help that. Well that's my review for now I will hopefully update as I use it through the summer.

Just what I needed to get my lawn done

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Work fantastic. I used it to spread Bermuda and clover seed. It spread quickly and evenly. Assembling was beyond easy and I was in my yard seeding in no time. The edger is easy to use so that you can get just the right angle your looking for.

This compact and easy-to-use spreader is designed to evenly distribute fertilizer, grass seed, and other lawn care products across your lawn. There is enough space for you to put your 20lbs of chemical so if you have a 40lb bag, just fill it twice. The small size is also good if you have limited space to store your yard equipment. One of the standout features of the Scotts Turf Builder EdgeGuard Mini Broadcast Spreader is its EdgeGuard technology. When you are ready to spread, just pull on the handle and push the spreader. The large wheel is easy to maneuver over uneven surface. It worked quite well when I used it on my front yard. This is a nice feature to have so you can control where the product is applied. Overall it's a nice spreader as it has all the features of the bigger spreader but it's lighter to handle and more compact.

greener grass

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This spreader was so easy to use and so lightweight. I put my grass seed in and just walked around spreading the seed. It also has a setting to only spread out 3/4 wide and not all over sidewalks so you can judge just where you want seed/fertilizer.

Excellent Spreader

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so pleased with the way this spreader works. It puts down your seed with ease and helps you to spread large areas in a short amount of time. It is very easy to put together and I was finished with setup in less than five minutes. The wheels roll very smoothly. There is a lever that you press when you’re ready for your seed to come out. Start walking and press the lever and your seed will be spread. It comes out evenly and, depending on the spreader setting, comes out as quick or as slow as you want it to.

great for a larger lawn

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great spreader but it is too big for my small lawn (300 sq foot front lawn-600 sq foot back lawn) I prefer my Scotts drop spreader for our small lawn, it gives me a more accurate coverage. some things that treat my lawn aren't good for my surrounding plants so I don't want possible over spray.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Mini spreader was excellent for my smaller lawn (4500 sq. ft.) The edge guard was good in keeping too much product from my sidewalks and flower beds around the house. The spreader were very easy to use and seamed very accurate. Clean up was a snap !
