[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A good spreade for a small lawn, hopper is hard to manuver when full suggest to only fill half way ! The collapsable handels make it easy to stow when not in use ! Also easy to clean with your garden hose when finished using !

Easy to use, sturdy and folds up to store

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first job was to spread pelletized lime. I live in an oak forest and after raking away the leaves and twigs while also dethatching, I use lime every other year to neutralize the acid level from leaves. Lime pellets are very heavy, so I was thinking this would test the metal of its plastic. It didn't even flinch and every last pellet was used. Other spreaders I've has required banging and dumping, so I attribute the clean bucket to great engineering. The settings are extremely easy to adjust on the fly by turning a dial which is bright orange and easy to see.
Yesterday I lightly overspread the lawn with Scott's Thick R' Lawn which is seed fertilizer and soil enhancer all in one bag. The Edgeguard feature makes it easy to control and watch where the coverage happens. All done.
Then it rained!
I folded up my Edgeguard Spreader, parked it under my workbench and intend to be happy ever after.

Lightweight and Durable!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just finished spreading fertilizer and weed killer with my Scotts spreader on 1 and a half acres of yard and although I am physically exhausted, the spreader performed like a champ! The spreader is mostly plastic, but I was amazed at how rugged it is! Easy to set the rate and the edge guard is handy for when going around the wifes flower bed!

Great Spreader For Smaller Yards/Tight Storage
on April 27, 2019

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This spreader has multiple settings to get the proper broadcast of granular products, Scotts especially. The handle collapses for storage and the spreader itself is light weight and smaller than the full size spreader making it easy to move and store. It is a simple design for spreading lawn products made smaller. I used it with a Scotts weed and feed finding it easy to maneuver, the edge guard working and the spread to be good as recommended on the weed and feed label. It is so easy to use I look forward to the next opportunity to use it.

My Front Lawn Looks Awful
on June 2, 2019

Unfortunately I have had an awful experience using Scott’s Edgeguard Mini Broadcast Spreader. My front lawn is evidence of the grossly uneven distribution of fertilizer that the Edgeguard provides. I have a trail of burnt grass throughout my front lawn after applying a spring fertilizer with weed control. The temps have not risen yet and I dread to think what my lawn will look like after the heat and humidity of summer set in. I would encourage anyone to avoid using the Edgeguard product.

Expected More Got Less

Have a new home and recently hydroseeded about 10,000 sq ft. Bought this spreader to fertilize the lawn. Lawn came in and spreader broke the second time I used it. It is flimsy and I question design and material strength. Am taking it back and will be shopping for a better product.
