With spring just around the corner, I was wandering if Scotts had either made any changes or plans to make any improvements to its Scotts Classic Drop Spreader. I had a Scotts Accugreen 3000 drop spreader that you could not depend on to put the correct amount of fertilizer onto a person yard even if you calibrated it every time you used it. Either it put way too much on or not eought. So, I bought a drop Scotts Classic Drop Spreader which cost a lot of money but end up having the same problems, so it has been setting in my shed for the last year. After writing to Scotts about a year ago and making some suggestion I was hoping Scotts would at least try to make some improvements to their spreader so again I very disappointed in Scotts for not doing anything about this problem.
I am wandering if the problem is because the way the spreader is being shipped so the line from the spreader to the adjuster on the handle get stretched. So, I would like to replace that part of my spreader to see if that is the cause of the problem.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This spreader is great. Allows me to put done weed and feed perfectly. I’ve used other brands but Scotts is the best. I’m able to maneuver and control how much I put down. Light weight easy to store and clean. Again another great product from Scotts. Keep up the good work! I’m a fan.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My spreader arrived yesterday and I put it to use immediately. It is visibly smaller that my previous Scott's spreader but it is a perfect size. It holds enough product to do my yard and an extra benefit is with it's size, it's much easier to store.

Fantastic Spreader!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Assembly of this was very easy. i personally like that the Handle on this particular model is longer than the handle on the one i bought 3 or 4 years ago. for a guy who is 6'4" this is huge. the wing nuts used to secure the handle are made very well and have a very strong feel to them. I used this yesterday to spread grass seed out on my double lot. it was very simple to push with the bucket full especially up hills. the wheels did not sink into the ground and the spreading of the grass seed is very consistent.

Great Edge Guard saves my plants and driveway

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use the Scott's Green Max Lawn Food and I had an issue with getting on my driveway. With this new spreader and edge guard it saved me a lot of time by not staining my driveway. The bin is the perfect size too.

Lightweight and easy to steer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This arrived just as I was ready to spread some yard fertilizer. Easy to operate and I like that it is lightweight. Many of the spreaders are bulky and heavy, making them hard to maneuver. This one was very easy for me to use and doesn't require a lot of strength to turn it around. Compact size is easy to store without taking up a lot of space. spreads evenly and doesn't dump clumps off the item being spread. I am Very pleased!!!

Great Spreader

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the new Scotts Turf Builder Edgeguard Mini Broadcast Spreader last week. It was easy to assembly. It glided nicely on my lawn. This is the best spreader for me to date. All of the numbers were easy to read. After using the Spreader ,the clean up went quick. I just hosed down the entire spreader.
