I have used Scotts spreaders for years and have been profoundly satisfied to date.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I particularly like the fact that Scotts makes a smaller size as well as a larger size. I have both. Each performs superbly and have been a great help in the beautiful lawn that I maintain. And the instructions that come with it are invaluable to me. I also love that it is easy to clean.

Best type of spreader available. However, hopper mechanism will some times jam and require emptying and complete washing. Needs a better dispense design to include dumping. Also wheel hubs are too fragile for the application. Release mechanism will eventually rust out before a useful lifetime is realized.
Pros: Easy to Use
Cons: short lifetime

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like this spreader. It doesn't get clogged up. Seed and fertilizer spreads evenly. The spreader is super easy to clean. I run a hose through the base and turn it over to drip dry. I recommend it to my neighbors and friends.

This spreader is one of those products that just gets the job done. Nothing too fancy about it, just load, push the button, and push. The one thing I would recommend is to make it easier to fold up so it takes up less storage room. Other than that, it's a good product.

The drop spreader is the best pushing due to the large wheels! All plastic no corrosion problems. ALWAYS hose the spreader down to prevent damage due to chemicals.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] we use this spreader several times per year, and find it makes spreading both fertilizer and weed and feed so much easier, especially for Sr. Citizens that still have homes and yards to take care of.
I also recently switch from the reg. roundup to the long term or extended roundup, since the Texas seem to so hard to kill, I do find this one works better.

I replaced my broadcast spreader with a Scott's drop spreader 4 years ago and have been very happy with the results. It is easier to get an even spread and avoid the telltale stripes in my lawn. I follow the 4 Step program and cover about 17,000 sq ft of lawn. I use a large bag and about half of a small bag each time, so it appears the spreader is dispursing just about the right amount of fertiler each time. And I have checked the calibration a couple of times and it is spot on. I have had no problems with this product and I have a beautiful lawn which I contribute to Scott's products.
