Well worth the money!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The mini broadcast spreader was easy to assemble and did a great job of evenly distributing product. While I looked at my neighbor's splotchy yard, I really appreciated the Turf Builder spreader. Well worth investing in!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This speader has three major things going for it. First it is made of a very tough plastic. Will never rust like metal speaders. You can hose it off after use and its as good as new. Second its size. The speader will not take up a lot of garage or shed space as it is designed smartly and compact, yet still holds a huge amount. Third, its simplicity. The speader is simple, thus it will not beak and is easy to use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is very user friendly. All you have to do is adjust the settings, add fertilizer or lawn food or whatever you want to spread, and go. Assembly from the box is very simple with easy to understand directions. there are no difficult steps with this spreader as I stated that it was very simple to use.

Terrible Spreader Ruined my lawn

Using Scotts fertilizer on the correct setting, this spreader created STRIPES on my lawn which lasted for weeks.
The spinning disk is between the wheels, not above, which causes the fertilizer to "spread" only over a 2 foot wide.

Very Disappointed

We bought this drop spreader a week ago specifically to use to drop tall fescue seed. I have previously owned and used a spreader just like this one for this very purpose, but my last one was stolen! The wheel on this new spreader will not turn and the grass seed clogs the opening. Because I knew the product and never imagined I would need to return it, I did not keep the receipt .

Do not buy

I have used this spreader 5 times and the gate that keeps the fertilizer in the hopper will not shut. I can't find a way to fix this either. It appears that there is a spring that came off some part but I can't remove the pieces to get to it.

The inner side of the wheels is HOLLOW! This means that the material you are spreading gets stuck inside the wheels which causes the material to drop out of the wheels while you push the spreader!
How this got through their engineering / design process is beyond me!

edge guard is off center

I too ended up with streaks I've used it for a couple of years and I thought I was doing something wrong, but I found out today that the edge guard, when "off" still is blocking more of one side than the other, which seems to send more fertilizer to one side and I end up with dark lines in the lawn.
