Not as good as old drop spreader

Not happy with this spreader. The design allows the body to sit too low. So when grass is damp, as per instructions, the weed and feed clogs up and won’t come out thru the holes. The spreader is worthless and it’s past time to return it.

Very Disappointed

Bought this today and used it to put Scotts Foundation on my lawn. It was very hard to push. Very exhausting. THe right wheel tends to skid. There is something wrong with this spreader and I can't recommend it. Unless Scotts can tell me how to fix it, I plan to return it.

No detailed instruction on how to use the setting. Please provide videos and link to teach.

Here are a few tips for using your Scotts Turf Bldr W/edggrdmini Ecosprdr/3:
-Walk at a normal pace (20 feet in 5 seconds).
-Avoid getting product into unwanted areas such as landscaping, sidewalks or driveway by using the edgeguard feature.
-Use when there is little wind to avoid drift onto unwanted areas or plants.
-Avoid streaks by slightly overlapping each pass by approximately 1½ feet.
-Check the back of the product bag or container for proper spreader settings.
-Do not use spreader to apply salt, top soil, garden soil, sand or manure. Spreader is not designed for this use.

Great for people who like checkerboard lawns

I also have stripes in my yard from using this spreader. All of the other brands that I just looked at has the spreader plate above the wheel. In my opinion the wheels are blocking the fertilizer from being broadcast properly. That may explain why I had so much fertilizer on my shoes

Disappointed

Haven't had the striping problems that most others are noting but the spreader cable broke today after just a couple of years of limited use. Have been searching online for a replacement cable with no success. I am guessing that when I finally find one, the cost will be nearly as much as a new spreader. Looks like it's time to go shopping for a different brand.

Poor quality product.

Broke on first use. The spindle to the stir paddle in the hopper twisted, and broke of during first use. Scotts Winterizer was in the hopper.
