Although this was advertised as for Northern lawns and I'm in South Carolina, the deal was too good to pass up. From years of using the products in my opinion there's not enough difference in the products to not have taken the deal.

Scotts lawn products are superior but the spreaders are absolutely junk, I’ve purchased around 5 of the spreaders in the past few years and none lasted more that two seasons. The new Mini Spreader failed after one application, did not spread evenly and then jammed. The black colored spreaders sold in the past were much better. I think most customers would be willing to spend more money for a better quality spreader
