Lawn striping issues

Love the edgeguard aspect and the handle. I’m tall and it’s an easy to use product. It’s nice and lightweight and was easy to put together right out of the box.
Now the not so good.
The wheels. They get in the way when in use and cause striping if you’re laying grass seed. Huge issue. It’s a deal breaker for that use.
Another big problem is it gets clogged easily if you’re using anything but super fine seed or fertilizer. And I mean super fine. I’m not sure if they just didn’t try this product out, or what.
It’s so odd. I love Scott’s products and have never had such a miss here. Super disappointing.
I had to give it three stars because there are still so many great things about this product. They could fix those things and have a great design here. Hoping they do.
It’s still good for other home projects. A solid mini spreader.

Easy to assemble

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The weather is making it hard to actually use this. But the limited use I did squeeze in between storms, seems like spread is wide and even. This unit from Scott's was crazy easy to assemble. Just putting on the wheels, with clear instructions. Had it done in minutes.

Ideal for small yards and storage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very good for smaller yards. I found the wheels minimally tricky to snap on as no instructions provided. But after that just extended by simply pull up on the handle to lock in place. Pretty self explanatory after that. I found the dial lettering bit small and hard to read without picking it up the bucket. I found it difficult to tell where fertilizer dropped as done dud spray out but most within the wheel base. Light and easy to maneuver but for my feet small front yard space of 3-400 sq feet I had to fill it up twice as small bucket. The wheels are hit solid on the inside and fertilizer was coating the wheels inside and layering on the spokes which was harder to clean. Low profile half size storage is plus if little room for storage. Personally would prefer solid wheels that wouldn’t need to be cleaned as much and dial on the handle.

Very easy to use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This spreader came fully assembled and was very easy to use. Just match the number on the bag with the number on the dial and go. Keeps fertilizer off the sidewalk making cleanup easier too. Can’t get much more simple.

Nice little spreader

Multiple use rolling push spreader

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Few adjustments right out of the box, read the ratio level, added fertilizer, did boarder area first then finished the inside area with ease. Seems to be durable, time will see. All clips and cables are strong for the necessary functions, and I like the Scotts “Green.” Better for me than multiple fill trips with a small hand held spreader.
