Striped lawn

I bought this spreader last summer and used it and noticed stripes but thought I did something wrong. This spring I bought Scott’s Thick R Lawn for my front yard and Scott’s weed and feed for the back yard. It left stripes with both. More striping with the Thick R Lawn.

Awful Quality. Not Worth The Money

I bought this less than 2 weeks ago. The weather finally got nice and wasn’t raining so I decided to use the Scott’s weed and feed product. I got about halfway through the front lawn of my home and the gear on the spreader slipped and now it just makes a grinding noise and the spreader does not spin. Tried pushing it/snapping it back into place, works for about 5 seconds then the gear slips out. Pretty bad that I couldn’t even get through 1 full application on my lawn before the spreader broke.

Used one year next year the cable broke

Bought last year and worked good but not this year . Rather expensive to have to replace spreader every year. Can find no replacement parts

Piece of garbage!

This is my second spreader and it only last about 6 times! Both broke at the same spot. Don’t buy this piece of garbage. I only use mine about 4 times a year!

Mini Broadcast

I have bought 2 of the spreaders, both have had the same problem. I returned the first one thinking it was a one time issue. I broadcasted lawn seed with the first one all the time thinking it was difficult to push. The second one had the same issue broadcasting fertilizer. I cleaned it after use etc, and discovered, the drive wheel drags requiring downward pressure to make the internal product distributor to turn. I have had the same problem with the second spreader I purchased, I'm returning it. I attempted to contact Scott's customer support for advice and was put on hold for a
half hour so gave up.

One wheel keeps falling off

Started off good then one wheel started to fall off. It is not sturdy like the edge hard but wheel design is terrible.

Don’t waste your money

I used it twice, once at home and once at the lake. Same results both places. I used the recommended settings for the fertilizer, but had burn streaks back and forth across the lawns. I’ve never had this problem with other Scot broadcast spreaders, and I’ve used them for the last 50 years. I’m afraid to try it again, so I guess I’ll buy something else.
