Micrometer cable disconnected - How to reattach???

I've had this spreader for about 3 years when the micrometer cable detached from the hopper spring mechanism. I can't get it re-attach. Please advise what I can do.

Worked fine except the right wheel (when behind) does go backward, it stops, is it supposed to do that?

this device did not come with instructions, also this site does not have instructions on how to set it up (rate settings control panel ) to use it. what is the meaning of those numbers ?
This is so sad to learn that this works only with scotts producs,
this is a waste of money.

Great for small to medium yards

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am happy with the ease of operating this spreader. Great for small to medium size yards. This model doesn't have an edger blocker feature to prevent fertilizer from being spread to flower beds or street.

I owned one of these but on a 7500 st ft lot the wheels came off I junked it.. I bought a scotts. Rotary it's holding up. I would like to have a drop but it plugs up also the one I had. I think the hopper needs to be higher or wheels bigger. Don't know why it plugs

Plastic agitator snapped off

Barely had this spreader for one full year and the plastic agitator piece just snapped while spreading weed and feed. Now it does not spread easily and it has caused application to take even longer.

Fair at best......plastic drive gears are poor
on May 2, 2020

from South Florida
Had the original and it lasted a few years but the main spline that spits the fertilizer snapped rendinering the unit useless. Bought the same one but now it only has one aggitator to move the fertilizer around instead of two and the tension on the single drive wheel makes the unit feel extremely fragile. Heavily contimplating returning it.

Poor Spreader
on May 7, 2020
Posted by: NotABuyerAgain
I got this spreader to replace the Ortho spreader I had for 20 years (parts rusted away). This was the only thing the big box stores carried. A couple of days after applying some fertilizer, I had beautiful streaks of green through my lawn. Most of the fertilizer was not cast out but fell between the wheels. Very disappointed Scotts would sell such a poorly designed product. So, I'll be using my handheld Ortho spreader for awhile.
