[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried out the spreader as soon as I received it. I got it at a good time because the last spreader had seen better days. I like the selection dial for the amount of fertilizer to go on. It is an upgrade from the older Scott's models. Hopefully, this will reduce the amount of tension on the handle cable and work for a long time. I feel this is a good product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found this to be a lightweight unit that is suitable for small lawns. I especially like the edgeguard feature when spreading fertilizer/weed killer around flower beds. Ideal for holding up to 5000 sq. ft. of fertilizer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Scotts Mini Broadcast Spreader as a promotion and I am thankful. It has a better auger for disturbing than my older Scotts Broadcast Spreader (that no longer would break up lumps). If I were buying a new spreader I would go for the standard model over the mini. The stand for the mini is a little on the lite side when filling the spreader.

Good spreader

This one is simple and super easy to set the number settings and there isnt anything mini about it! It can fit a great amount of prduct before I had to fill again.

love the Edge guard

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used my new spreader for spreading seed. I mixed my seed with top soil and the spreader had no problem spreading both. I then used for spreading the fertilizer I had no problem with lowering the setting to its lowest level and spreading evenly. the Edge guard worked great .which is a great feature (no more lost product on areas where i don't want product , like sidewalks and around flower beds . the only reason I did not give it a 5 star rating was the support stand could be a little wider. but otherwise I love my new spreader.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The one major item I saw is that the back support when not in use is very cheap compared to past spreaders. This item is not the quality at frirst glance I was expecting. I like to edgegaurd to help to not waist any product in the street or on the sidewalk. Save more for the yard and less to clean up.
