EXPENSIVE & BROKEN

The main drive gear BROKE in two so the broadcaster will no longer rotate and the drive wheel is locked up.
Where can I get a replacement part!!!
Pros: Easy to Use
Cons: Didn't work as expected, poor quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent and easy to use

Great Spreader

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The only problem I have encountered is the lever sometimes slips out of place and can be difficult to hook back into place before grains spill out the bottom.
Pros: Effective, Value
Cons: the lever can be a little tricky at times

The best spreader ever

We just bought the Scotts Turf Builder EdgeGuard DLX spreader. My husband is so happy with it. With using the edge guard, we don't waste fertilizer in the areas around the fence, shed and the side of the house by the woods. We noticed how easily the fertilizer funneled down and out of the spreader without clogging up. We can fill the total amount of fertilizer or other products into the tub without refilling it. This is our 3rd and best Scott's spreader we've ever had. It' also very easy to push.
Pros: Value, Quality, Easy to Use, Good Directions, Effective

I have two issues with the spreader. First when loaded with material the door does not close to stop the flow. Very problematic when crossing the driveway or sidewalk. Second, the edge guard broke on the second use. The cable is connect to a flimsy handle setup. I would avoid this product.
