Great spreader

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this spreader this past weekend after using nothing but a drop spreader for many years. But inasmuch as I have over an acre of grass I decided to try the DLX and I was very pleased with the result. It has a pretty wide spreadpath (about 5 feet) and the air filled tires made pushing it much easier. I was able to do the entire yard in about 1/3 of the time it has taken in the past. Great product; I would recommend this spreader to everyone.
Pros: Quality, Easy to Use, Good Directions, uniform dispersement

Great Broadcast Spreader and a Good Value

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good spreader for the price. I would recommend this to any do it yourselfer. My only concern is the quality of the parts used. Cable attachment to the unit is plastic and breaks easily. I had to jury rig the attaching points. Now I'm not sure how accurate the measurements are on the dial for dispensing the proper amount of product.
Pros: Easy to Use, Effective, Good Directions, Value
Cons: less than stellar materials for mechanical parts

Decent spreader for the money

This is a decent spreader for the money. However the wheels are poorly designed. If you want to put down a fertilizer when the grass is damp the insides of the wheels attract a lot of fertilizer that should be going on the lawn.
Pros: Value, Easy to Use
Cons: poor wheel design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this spreader for a number of years and works great with all the Scott's products I've spread in the Spring, Summer, Winter and Fall. The numbers on the dial are easily readable and the dial is easy to adjust. It spreads the particles within a specific area and there are no surprises. It is a quality product that lasts many seasons.
