Scotts Turf Builder Edgeguard DLX Broadcast Spreader is fantastic.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The spreader is by far the best one I've ever used and owned.
From the first time I used it, it was effortless. The Edgeguard feature helped to not waste any product on sidewalks or neighbor's yards.
It worked so well I lent it to my neighbor and he liked it so much, he went out and bought one too.
Pros: Easy to Use, Effective, Good Directions, Quality, easy to wash
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this device to spread seed and lawn food for around 12 to 15 thousand sq foot lawn.. covers nicely and the Edge-guard helps when running against the wall or street. would recommend this for light to moderate use .. not sure how it would hold up under daily, extended use.. for me it is a winner

spreads well but edgeguard is flimsy piece of plastic

Bought the Scott's Edgeguard Deluxe broadcast spreader yesterday, used it once, and returned it today. The edgeguard technology is a cheap piece of plastic. It jumps out of its housing (4 x 1/2" plastic tabs) whenever it feels like it. If all you want is to spread fertilizer, etc. it's ok. But if you're paying the extra dollar to get something that works as advertized, stay away from the "Edgeguard"...it's useless.
Pros: spreads adequately
Cons: Didn't work as expected
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] owned this spreader for over 5 years. The only problem has been with the hand spring/ that releases the fertilizer. it sticks and doesn't work well all the time
Pros: Easy to Use, Effective
Cons: manual relese system gave out sticks
