Poor design equals poor value

I bought 2 of these spreaders in 3 years on both of them the edgeguard cable broke. And this on this one that just broke yesterday after manually using the edgeguard the gears stripped on the wheels to operate the broadcast piece. If I may offer a suggestion that would be to use the same manual lever that you put on your mini spreader for the edgeguard and beef up the gears. On a positive side I do like the hopper size and the large adjustment dial.
Cons: poor design on edgeguard, weak gears
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It really is a good item to have, so easy to use and take the edge off knowing it will work out all well for me. Thank you.
