Cheaply made, parts hard to find

Less than one season and the orange part that holds the upper end of the cable that activates the edgeguard broke and I can find no replacement parts for this

Gets clogged easily with product. Mixer is redesigned from my older model and ineffective. Company needs to design a retrofit that will fix the problem. I’m about to put it at the curb.

Cheap construction

Bought this product because i WAS a fan of scotts products. But, scotts products have became cheaply built the wheels collect feritilzer product on the back side of the wheel causing stripping in the yard, very poor design for the wheels,

Uneven application of fertilizer

I bought this in early spring. I moved my residence last year and sold my old speedy green spreader in a yard sale. That spreader worked great so once in my new house I bought this unit thinking it would be the same. Its is not. I get green "racing stripes" in my lawn when I use it to apply turf builder. Like you would expect from a drop feeder not a broadcast feeder. I have used it twice so far this year and I see the same result each time. You may be happier purchasing a different model or brand.

Recently purchase to replace my old Scotts rotary spreader which worked great for years. This new Edgegaurd DLX has a terrible design, it leaves stripes on my lawn so now I need to go out and buy something else, Disappointing!

Scott DLX spreader

I bought this month ago used 1 time to spread Scott's turf builder. What a waste of time and money.Yard nothing but stripes about 10 ft apart looks like crap, looks like I was drunk when applied. Use correct setting , applied less than 5 foot apart. Would not advise anyone to purchase this item.

Striped lawn

This spreader is horrible. It left stripes after my first application of step 1 feed and crabgrass killer. A lot of the product hits the wheels as the rotary part is below the wheels. Horrible design.
