Avoid at all costs - total junk
on May 28, 2025

Do not buy! This spreader will leave streaks in your yard due to a very poor design. Fertilizer gets slung into the hollow wheels and “edge guard” collecting there and them dumping a heavy line through your yard. This will burn streaks throughout your yard. DO NOT USE if you value your lawn.

From a broadcasting standpoint, the unit does well. Regretfully when spreading on wet or damp grass, as the bag instructions indicate, the inside of the hollow plastic wheels get wet, hold the material being spread and drop it in random clumps. The clumps can kill the grass due to over fertilization. A bad design. Simply turning the wheels 180 degrees would solve this but marketing would hate the look.

Spreader Settings Please!
on June 3, 2025

3 stars for the spreader - ZERO stars for the website. Spreader Settings? Anyone? Anywhere? When I do a search for spreader settings, the website takes me to the shopping page. Terrible website design. Same with the app. I already own the Edgeguard Dlx spreader I'm just looking for the proper setting for my fertilizer. Specifically, which number on the dial will give me a rate of 5lbs/1000sqft. I'm not using Scott's fertilizer (there are other products out there). No, I don't want to waste product on a parking lot while calibrating my spreader. Those numbers on the dial mean something, I'm just trying to find the information.

Spreader works okay. I believe the spread rate is good on level ground but putting the spreader uphill is not difficult but quantity that falls out of it changes then

Fertilizer Stuck In Wheels - Uneven Distribution
on June 15, 2025
Posted by: Josh32
I wanted to upgrade from the mini and bought this. The dropper sits low and fertilizer continually gets stuck in the wheels. I tried putting cardboard over the wheels but that did not help. No matter what I do, this product leaves lines in my yard. This was never an issue before. Do you have any solutions for these issues?

Wheels Fall Off - Again
on June 16, 2025

I have purchased two of these and the wheels have fallen off each one shortly after the warranty was up. I only used the one that just broke twice before they started coming off. Unfortunately, it was past the one-year limit. I push approximately an acre a total of 6-7 times a year with Scott's products (3-4x) or Tetrazide for grubs (2-3X). I have manages to rig them to keep the wheels on by drilling the axle and inserting a screw which acts as a shim to keep the tabs "up" but the tabs have now broken. It works great when it works but if you are using it for more than a 1/4 acre a few times a year avoid this product and buy something more heavy duty. The wheel design is crap.
