[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this product to use at our camper in my flower beds and potted. I never have to worry about getting our there for the weekebd and findinf dead, dried out plants. I water them before we leave on Sunday and they stay moist and alive all week, even in 80 plus degree weather. It also has a built in fertilizer, that feeds the plants for months. I get bigger, beautiful flowers and healthy vegetsbles. This moisture control potting soil is a real plant saver.
Pros: Easy to Use, Effective, Good Directions, Value, Quality

Moisture control potting soild huge disappointment

I have been gardening for a long time....always used Miracle Gro potting soil with excellent results. This year Loews ran out and only had the Moisture Control - which I purchased. Every single pot is a disaster...none of the plants grew, they died. Every single one. I will never buy this Miracle Gro product again. I will use the standard potting soil and their fertilizer but this product was a huge waste of money - for the product and the plants that died (Wave petunias, geraniums).
Pros: Easy to Use
Cons: Didn't work as expected
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best for potted plants

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this product Miracle Gro moisture control potting mix for my potted plants. We live in a very warm area and this products helps my pots stay moist between watering's. I was never able to keep my pots looking good until I started using this product. I recommend it to anyone looking to keep plants healthy and beautiful throughout the summer.

very effective for potted plants

I buy 4-5 large bags at Costco and do number of pots at jersey shore and in wilm,de and the results along with a shot of liquid miracle grow every 2 weeks brings in a lot of compliments from neighbors and passers-by on atlantice Ave in longport, N.J.

New plant failure

Every year I start my tomatoes and peppers from seed. This year I tried miracle grow moisture control for some of the seedlings. I had about 30 plants and most of those that I transplanted didn't make it. I found about 1 inch of wet clay soil at the bottom of each pot and the roots of the plant would die. I always bottom water as suggested by the pros. Maybe this product should not be used as such. I also had problems with gnats that I didn't have before. I have went back to using Burpee seed starting mix, even for transplanting.
Cons: Didn't work as expected
Pros: Easy to Use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Product contains much more larger wood pieces than past years with higher cost. not the same quality I'm use too.
