What a Sticker Shock for 2015

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For several years I purchased the 55 qt. bag for $9.99 and I was thrilled with the potting soil. It produced outstanding container plants that grew huge. This year the same size bag jumped to $16.98 and I was shocked. I went home without my 12 bags of my favorite brand of potting soil. I tried the organic potting soil and I was very disappointed. I refuse to purchase any product that has increased in price by so much. I checked at 6 stores and found the price to be about the same increase.
Cons: huge increase in cost
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love gardening and love to see plants thrive. When you use Miracle grow potting soil it has everything you need to be successful, even if you are a beginning gardener.

Better than Standard Potting Soils

We used Scott's regular potting soil for many years with good results. It's always been our "go-to product" for all potted plants. Two years ago, we switched to the "moisture control" product and noticed a world of difference. Its added ingredients definitely helps to prevent killing plants due to over/under watering, especially with delicate herbs, like basil. This is our 3rd year of satisfied use and we have no regrets in spending the extra money on this potting soil. Last year, we prepared 2 planters with identical herbs. A less-expensive competitor's brand potting soil, advertising moisture control, was used in one. The Scott's planter provided the "winning herbs" for that season. As our review photo shows, the 2015 planter is another success.

We started using Miracle-Gro Potting Mix last year. We do a lot of pots and hanging baskets. We were quite amazed at the difference in healthy growth using this product.
Used to think that any potting soil would be fine as long as we using the miracle-gro liquid fertilizer on a weekly basis. The two together produce spectacular results.
Very happy.

I was using a competitors potting soil which became hard and
the plants showed little life.
Then I purchased Moisture Control Miracle-Gro. What a difference!
My plants started to grow rapidly and became very healthy.
