This product is terrible

I have used Miracle-gro moisture control for a few years. This year it is awful! I have had to re-pot all my containers! I've had stunted growth, yellow, attracting ants? I don't know what happened to this once good product:( I see the addition of mulch, which is terrible. Sorry to have to say, I will not use this product any longer. I am an avid flower, herb, and small vegetable gardener.
Cons: Didn't work as expected
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

MiracleGro Moisture Control is NOT a good choice for your Bloomers

I don't like the performance. Plants potted in this soil haven't performed (and some died). The regular MiracleGro or Organic MiracleGro are your best bets. I don't recommend Moisture Control AT ALL.

Terrible Product

I purchased the moisture control potting mix hoping it would work as well as the regular potting mix. I was wrong. The plants dry out daily and you have to water everyday and my plants have suffered because of the lack of moisture. With this potting mix you are wasting water.
Are you putting more Styrofoam in this product to act as a filler to cut down on the price of the product?

I have a full vegetable garden on a condo patio with all pots filled first with Miracle Gro potting soil to ensure a successful harvest!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Each and every Mothers' day my 2 sons give me 4 bags of Miracle Gro o as a gift. Tomato plants and herbs and zucchini and cucumber plants and flower seeds are selected by my daughter in laws make a perfect start to the summer where the grandchildren (6) enjoy watching the growth. They relish watering and I can be assured the amount of water given the plants will be just right given the control element Miracle Gro provides.

I have been using this stuff for years. It has consistently out preformed other products that I have tried. And I have tried a few every now and then I test a different product or brand. The results are almost always the same the Miracle-Gro Moisture Control Potting Mix plants grow bigger faster
Pros: Value, Quality, Easy to Use, Good Directions, Effective

this product has gnats all over my house

Two months, I replanted my house plant using this product , I now have little gnats flying all around my house. I never had any problem with gnats until I used this product and they are all over my plant and my house. I am now going to have to buy different potting soil & replant again & hope it doesn't die

No insects can survive our packaging process, although they can enter the soil during shipping and storage by the retailer. Try applying at least 1/2 inch of sand on top of the soil of your container plants. Larvae cannot burrow through the sand and will die. Sand should be left on the container for several weeks, until the problem is solved.
