Crappiest potting mix ever!

This soil sucks, I wouldn't even give it one star! I guess if you like watering your house plants daily and they still dry out and die this would work for you. This should be marketed as a cactus soil. I have over 50 house plants that I now need to report because this soil sucks so much!

Used to be Best but now slowly kills plants

I used to regard Miracle-gro moisture control as the gold standard and worth every penny of the premium price. After purchasing 7 bags this season I notice all my health seedlings and plants that were potted to this mix start rotting and bizarre browning on leaves. Also green algae seems to grow on the tops all the pots with this mix. I suspect they changed the formulation to include much more cheaper peat moss and reduced the aerating elements such as perlite as I can’t see any in the mix anymore. The result a very swampy wet mix that will rot everything that goes into it. This mix is this kiss of death. I never had issues with the product until this year. And I wasted a lot of money and killed a lot of gorgeous seedlings that flourished prior to being potted in this mix. I’m returning my unused bags and will never purchase this again. I am a horticultural expert so this product failure was very disappointing as I loved this product for many years.

Used it for years but no more

about a year ago maybe a little longer I bought a new bag and said what happened to this.It used to be a rich dark mix now looks like shredded bark.None of my plants indoor or out could tolerate it and I got some type of mildew I never had.I am done and throwing away what I have left over

Soil more disgusting every year.

Quality worse every year. A gardner of 50 years and very experienced. Mostly peat moss and bark chips.

Absolute Garbage, do not purchase this potting soi

Until recently, this was my potting soil of choice. After several bags of hydrophobic soil and one that somehow didn’t have any perlite, I’ve started mixing my own soil.
The most annoying part of all of this (besides having to replant using a different potting mix…nothing like double the work!), it’s not something you can just return. What am I supposed to do, scrape all the soil back into the bag and lug it back to the store? Don’t waste your money, or your time. Buy literally anything else.

Nasty surprise!

Bought 4 bags this summer and have used 3, but when I opened each bag several large moths flew out and in through my windows! So have spent days trying to kill them before they get to my clothes. So the 4th bag will go back. Big disappointment!

I bought a bag to transplant from my aerogarden

Given the description I expected a soil that was better at retaining moisture for the plants I moved from ym aerogardens. So far I am unimpress. I have 4 types of Milacle-gro types of soil, and this is not great. I bought this instead of Foxfarm soil and now I would not use it again.
