I bought this about three weeks ago and finally put it down my backyard last week. My backyard is definitely greener, which is a great thing with the summer we’ve been having. However, I followed the spreader settings for the Scotts broadcast spreader and I overlapped appropriately but I got stripes. Not really too happy about the stripes, but you can see the difference in color.

This product Did not grow much grass at all

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product did not perform as I had expected it to. It did grow a few blades of grass but it was very few and far in between. I was very shocked to see this product under perform so much as it did. It has been a very hot summer and not sure if that affected the out come.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product Greened to my yard very quickly. Instructions were clear and was very easy to apply. I put it down in early spring what’s the weather got warm enough and started seeing the part where I put it down greener than the rest pretty quick
I don’t have any weeds even though my neighbors yard has tons of them. The greening ability is not as good as I would have expected. More lime green than dark green. . .

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received this product in the mail. I placed this product in the front yard, side of the house, and placed it in the back. When we bought the home the grass was missing some places and this product has help make a major difference! I love how it’s starting to make it more green and how it’s helping my grass areas grow!

High Nitrogen level!
on July 2, 2022
Posted by: Andy in CT
It seems that a fertilizer containing a Nitrogen level this high would be detrimental for lawns in various areas of the US that are prone to high humidity levels in the summer. There is even a one-star rated Review that Scott’s replied to four years ago raising this point. Scott’s agreed with the concerns raised by the consumer, yet you still advocate the use of Green Max in the extreme summer heat?

square foot coverage is not accurate for Scotts Drop Spreader settings. With setting at 8, there was 2/3 of the bag left after covering 8,000 sq ft area. Spreader is new, was calibrated per directions on box.
