This fertilizer does exactly what it says. Makes the lawn dark green and I notice it is thicker. I used this product last fall as well. I think a big reason for all the great results is not only the 5 percent iron, but also the 10 percent sulfur. That is real important. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants a great looking lawn.

Bad lawn - Double Wammy

Lawn was mistreated for several years by hit and miss care. Finally, decided to get on board and invest in my lawn, and "NOW" I am one happy camper when I look out my window - there it is a thick solid blanket of green, "WOW!" I rated this product excellent, and I'm convinced it is because the lawn needed iron and this product furnished the needed element. However, on a whim, I did something else: I had quarter bag of Winter Guard so I applied Winter Guard prior to the Green MAX. Also, the grass did not green up in three days. BUT! when the grass started to come alive (10 days) it really greened up and began to grow into a beautiful green and healthy carpet. Five thousand square foot of grass. I need a riding mower! Hi HO Sliver :-)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Scotts Green Max is my go-to lawn food. Like other Scotts lawn foods it provides your lawn with vital nutrients. But Scotts Green Max also has an extra hit of iron, which helps make your grass look greener a bit faster than other lawn foods. The other day my neighbor was mentioning how much greener my lawn is compared to his lawn. So Scotts Green Max not only makes you lawn greener, it can also make your neighbor greener with envy!

Great on new grass

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this on grass recently sprouted from seed planted several weeks ago. It's perfect for this since it has no weed killers or seed germination preventer. The grass is green and growing well as you can see from the pictures.

No joke greens in 3 days!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If your lawn needs a spruce up for an party or gathering, this product will definitely green up the lawn FAST! Not only will it green up quickly, it will last at least 6-8 weeks. Lawn is thick and green even with moderate traffic and two dogs.
