Wonderful product. I don't understand the staining problem so often mentioned in these reviews.
Follow the directions, pay attention to where you're dropping the fertilizer (I use a Scotts drop spreader), try to apply when it will be dry for at least a day after application, water after a day or two and 3 to 5 days after application you will be happy with the results.
Product is very easy to use, but does require minimal awareness from the user.
Highly recommended.

This is stuff has my lawn beautiful. No clumping in the bag and I live in Louisiana where humidity is high. But I dropped the bag on the ground a couple of times just in case. Now everyone in the neighborhood has been stopping to see what I use on my lawn. I have Bermuda grass so don't be afraid to try it!! Try not to get any on sidewalks or drive way because it will stain!!!

It is always a pleasure when the Yard Service Companies knock on the door and ask who is taking care of my yard, because their customers want their yards to look like mine!
The secret is GREEN Max. Best product I have ever used and will never go with out. I put it down in June and again in August.
As far a rust goes, Blow it off the concrete walks, drive way, and patio as you go. I read the instructions on the bag and it clearly advices that for every fertilizer. An Oz. of protection is worth a Lb of cure!!!!!

Definately greens up a yellowing lawn

Significant improvement in lawn color in one week. No product clumping was observed when the bag was first opened. Appears to absorb moisture from humid air and a few agglomerates were found about one week after opening. I thought that I could use a leaf blower to remove spillage from hard surfaces, but iron staining did occur. Next time I will wash it off with water.

Cons: stains hard surfaces if not completely removed

Best thing ever for my lawn. And it loves it. All my friends ask me what I do!!! And I am the envy of my block. Nothing beats scotts.

Spots your yard

I really wasn't expecting this to happen. After the first bag, I will never use again. First applied on 9-07-2015, after 21 days I have brown/dead spots throughout my yard.
Pros: Easy to Use
Cons: Didn't work as expected

WARNING! Will ruin your driveway and sidewalks

I recently purchased my first home (brand new construction). What an exciting time. That was until I used Scott's Green Max. Although I swept the fertilizer from the side walks and driveway back into the grass, I STILL ended up with terrible staining on my beautiful brand new driveway and sidewalks. It baffles me that there's not a larger warning label about this. Furthermore, how is this product still on the shelf for sale? Scott's, you've honestly diminished the value and curb appeal of my brand new home. I feel sick to my stomach every time I see it.
My next step is to try a professional cleaning service. I'm sure it won't be cheap.
