Applying this product as directed resulted in a nice lush green grass. I had a lawn service that spread fertilizer, but my lawn has never looked better. I highly recommend.
Pros: Quality, Easy to Use, Good Directions, Effective
I would recommend this to a friend!

Do Not Use if you have concrete anywhere your lawn

Purchased this year in March instead of my usual Turf Builder. The bag was labled as kid friendly which i liked but what was needed was a warning as big that states that you cannot get any on the conctrete. On the back it states that you should sweep up excess, it should state that brooming may not be sufficient, I applied mine with a Scotts edgeguard brocast spreader and then swept up what thought was the rest. It rained over night and when I went out it looked like apainting of a meteor shower on my driveway. It also does not state that a pressure washer will not get it up, nor store bought concrete cleaner (CLR for driveways). I then went on the website and saw the recommendation for the Rust store product. Bought two tubs at $22 each and it removed the comet tails but there is still small dots so I have purchased 5 more. After all said and done I will have spent over $150 to repair the driveway and sidewalk. My recommendation stick to the regular turf builder if on the four bag cycle like I am.
Cons: Messy, Problem with label, destroys concrete
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We are sorry that you found the Scotts Green Max Lawn Fertilizer label misleading. Scotts makes every effort to provide clear and accurate information on every product label. We are also sorry to hear about the staining of your concrete that occurred while using Scotts Green Max Lawn Fertilizer. The iron in Scotts Green Max Lawn Fertilizer may stain. The quicker a stain removal process is begun, the more effective the process will be. Sunlight and water will help to fade the iron stains from the product on outdoor surfaces, but will not completely remove them. Before using any commercial cleaning products to remove stains, test the product on a small area to see if the product will fade or damage the stained surface.

This is the best stuff for tall fescue grass. Excellent results.
Scotts needs to provide more coverage for the price you pay per bag. Very disappointed with them in their amounts. Price increases and amounts continue to decrease.
Pros: Effective
Cons: see review

This is an excellent product! I've used Scott's products for 40 yrs! I live in South Florida and this product does great on my southern grasses! Keeps my lawn very green and thick! I never need a weed control because my lawn is always thick and never allows weeds to creep in! My lawn is always greener than my neighbors! I feed every 6 to 8 weeks with the proper watering, mowing and insect control! I fully recommend this product for people who really care about their lawn and the compliments from their neighbors!
Pros: Value, Quality, Easy to Use, Good Directions, Effective, excellent results!
Cons: sweeping off sidewalks after

Dont waste youre money on Green MAX

I am highly disappointed with Scotts's. the Green Max product is the first product I have used of theirs that has completely failed to live up to the claims. I set my broadcast spreader below the recommended setting and it still burnt up my Lawn. where I once had beautiful green Bermuda now I have a brown lawn. I bought Green Max because of recommendations from their website and app.
Scotts may have lost my business....
Cons: burnt my lawn at less than recommended setting, waste of money
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We are very sorry to hear of the lawn damage you experienced while using Scotts Green Max. When used according to label instructions the product does not damage grass. While there is a safety factor built into the product, too much product can cause damage. Was your spreader calibrated and in good working order when it was used? If the calibration is off that could affect how much product is put on. When temperatures consistently above 85 degrees, you should water immediately after application to reduce stress on your lawn. You might also consider that damage may be unrelated. The damage to your lawn is possibly caused by disease or insect damage, or drought stress. If overapplication is suspected, we suggest a watering program of 1/2" of water every 2 to 3 days. Follow this watering plan for at least 3 weeks following the application. Most lawns will recover given time. If the lawn does not recover in 3 weeks or if you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We want you to be confident in our products, this is why we offer a product guarantee. If you would like to further discuss this, please contact us here: http://tinyurl.com/mds8zo5

Whaddaya do with Bermuda grass? A year after moving to NC from MA where I had one of the nicer, greener and weed free lawns in my neighborhood, my new yard is starting to get green after a single application of GreenMax. The lawn care company hasn't been able to accomplish in a year of liquid weed and feed what Scott was able to do in one application. Now I'll start with Weed-B-Gone to solve the other issues. I've always found Scott products to be more expensive than most other brands but with their products you really do get what you pay for.
Pros: Effective, accomplished what i wanted it to do
Cons: getting too old to do it myself
I would recommend this to a friend!
