A picture is worth a thousand words!
You are looking across my yard to my neighbors. Yes, I water and feed my yard. My immediate neighbor does not water nor feed his yard. The next neighbor down runs a yard service and does water and feed his yard, but I don't think he uses Scotts products.
You make the assessment... I think you'll agree with me that Scotts Green Max is worth the price!
Note: This year I used Green Max in late June and late August.
Pros: Value, Quality, Easy to Use, Good Directions, Effective

Very upset at product quality

I purchased this to green the lawn for my home. I was very upset because when I opened the bag, the product seemed very moist. Being that I never purchased this product before it did not seem unusual and I attempted to apply the product with the Scotts brand spreader. The product of course did not spread and it clumped together and caused dead spots in my lawn because of the large clumping . Now I have large leopard spot shaped dead spots in my lawn. Very disappointed in this product.
Cons: Messy, Difficult to use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

FANTASTIC PRODUCT

I live in NC, within two blocks of the ocean. I had no clumps, and my cendipede grass is thick, green, filling in some bare spots and beautiful to look at. My neighbors are commenting on how great it looks. The only down side is that I have to mow it more often.

Can't do better than GreenMAX

I've used lots of fertilizers on my turf grass and nothing beats the greening power of GreenMax. It not only gives me the best grass in the entire neighborhood, but the trees and other plants benefit from the higher iron content. If you live in an area where the soil is iron weak or deficient, get GreenMAX for the greenest yard you've ever had.

Will cause bad rust stains on concrete that are difficult if not impossible to remove

Applied this product and didn't get all of it removed off the concrete before it rained and now have bad rust stains on concrete that previously was unstained. It's not worth having green grass if your concrete is ruined. Do not use this product. Warning on bag is too small.

I am sorry to hear about the damage to concrete or pavers that occurred after using Scotts Green Max Lawn Food. The iron in Green Max Lawn Food will stain concrete, pavers and other hard surfaces as indicated on the back of the label. The quicker a stain removal process is begun, the more effective the process will be. Sunlight and water will help to fade the iron stains from the product on outdoor surfaces, but will not completely remove them. While not endorsed or guaranteed by Scotts, the following products have shown to be effective at removing iron stains from regular concrete and are registered for this use:

Took a little longer than three (3) days to really turn deep green

The 10X max product worked very well. My lawn is deep green and even deep green throughout. I applied 10X to a dry lawn. I swept the outline area well and avoided all staining. This product is for project lovers, so if you don't want to really sweep well and follow directions this is not for you. The deep green took six days to just over a week to fully set in.

Product was very easy to apply

Since this was the 3rd product I used over the course of 3 years, I asked the experts about the setting for my spreader, Instead of using that setting I reduced it to #3 & did not over feed, afterwards I cleaned up all excessive fertilizer from drive & sidewalk to ensure none would cause stains & Now my lawn is beautiful once again, No Burn, entire lawn evenly deep rich color, Thanks for an excellent product.
