IT DOES WHAT IT SAYS TO THE MAX. I APPLYED SCOTTS GREEN MAX TO MY LAWN AND WITHIN 72 HOURS MY LAWN WAS DARKER RICH LOOKIN. ON A SCALE OF 1-10 START AT 10 WITH THIS SCOTTS GREEN MAX!!!!! THANX SCOTTS!!!!
Pros: Value, Quality, Easy to Use, Good Directions, Effective

This product is wonderful, it took a little longer than the three days that the package stated to green up my grass but after about the fifth day..wow! My yard is without a doubt the greenest on my street! I love it!
Pros: Easy to Use, Effective, Good Directions, Value, Quality

I never post reviews but I felt I needed to for this product. For a few years I have used a local lawn care company and always felt like my yard wasn't where it needed to be. They always said the same thing to me that I need to aerate and water no matter what the problem was. Well, I did and still do that each year and no change, and in fact it was getting worse. So I decided to cancel their services altogether and start doing this myself. I read about Scotts and this product in particular and decided to give it a shot. Well, as described, this turn my lawn into a deep, rich, and healthy green lawn in only a short time. I can't believe how much better my lawn looks! I am completely sold on their products and will use Scotts for a long time. I also bought the drop spreader which allowed me to not worry about the product staining my concrete. The packaging clearly states it will stain so I or anybody else cannot complain about this happening. Thanks Scotts for a great product and I will continue to use your product.

If you want rust covering most of your property this is the product for you. 5.7% pure iron. $200 on goof off to get the rust off of my property(.)

This product is hazardous to your concrete, tile, sidewalk, actually all none grass surfaces and should be used by professionals. Use at your own risk (.)
Cons: Messy, Difficult to use, Problem with label, rust rust rust

This product really works

I put this product on my yard 4 days and my grass is much greener and thicker. This is a great product!

Watch out for the iron

This product worked as described. Nice, green lawn.
BEWARE>>>The product readily states clean up any that gets on concrete. I thought that I had cleaned it well. The next day we had a slight drizzle and I then had numerous rust streaks on my sidewalk. On my patio some had gotten into the expansion groove that I did not see and this also was rust color. I am in the process of repeated cleanings . While it works, I will not be using any material that contains iron in the future

From reading the previous reviews I thought the product wouldn't work. I was afraid my yard would burn and not turn green. I was soooo wrong! My yard is thick and has a beautiful dark green color. I am happy with the results. I will say you need to water your yard....

I was set to purchase my second bag of Max Green when I read the reviews. Previous reviewers are correct. MAX GREEN GRANULES WILL RUST ANY CONCRETE STRUCTURE (driveway, patio, frontwalk, sidewalk, statuary). A green lawn for seven weeks is not worth permanent rust stains on concrete. I'm quite angry with Scotts for placing a destructive product on the market.
Pros: Effective
Cons: Didn't work as expected, Problem with label, destructive to concrete structures

We are sorry that you found the Scotts Green Max Lawn Fertilizer label misleading. Scotts makes every effort to provide clear and accurate information on every product label. This product does contain iron, which may cause staining if used on surfaces other than the lawn. To prevent this kind of staining we suggest carefully sweeping any particles that did not end up on the lawn back into the lawn area before watering.
