I used this product and I'm happy with it....Followed the directions and didn't have any problems what so ever with stains. I used a blower to blow off any remaining fertilizer on my driveway.I cant believe there are so many comments about staining when I had none....
Pros: Quality, Easy to Use
I would recommend this to a friend!

This product works great and it works fast. Just days after applying my lawn is the greenest in the neighborhood. All my neighbors are knocking at my door asking how I got such a great color to my lawn. It really makes the green pop!
Just be careful not to get it on the sidewalk.
Pros: Easy to Use, Effective
Cons: can mark concrete sidewalk if not careful
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bad results if any amount of environmental moisture present

I continued to apply this product in a mist, the type of moisture insufficient to call rain. The product stained my concrete driveway, sidewalks and street orange. It gummed up my drop spreader to the point where I needed to take every component apart to clean it. To add insult to injury, it did nothing for my grass.
Cons: Messy, Didn't work as expected, Problem with label, Difficult to use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We are sorry to hear about the staining to your concrete driveway, sidewalks and street that occurred after using Scotts Green Max Lawn Food. The iron in Green Max Lawn Food will stain concrete, pavers and other hard surfaces as indicated on the back of the label. The quicker a stain removal process is begun, the more effective the process will be. Sunlight and water will help to fade the iron stains from the product on outdoor surfaces, but will not completely remove them. Please contact us for additional clean up tips.
You also mentioned that you didn't receive any fertilizer response, if repeated applications of fertilizer fail to green the lawn, we recommend that you purchase a soil test kit to check the soil pH. Soil pH should be between 5.5 - 7.5 for lawns. If it is outside this range, add lime (to raise pH) or soil sulfur (to lower pH) at least once a year in spring or fall. A pH imbalance will prevent the lawn from absorbing fertilizer, even if you apply heavily. We want our consumer to have a positive experience and when that doesn't happen, we have our product guarantee. Works like it says!

This product did just what it said. It made the grass that was previously dull and dry a very nice green. Note: This product will not bring dead grass areas back. At least that is my experience. But it did transform the grass we had into a nice solid green color. Follow instructions and it should work like a charm. KEY: FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS!
Pros: Value, Quality, Easy to Use, Good Directions, Effective

Today is the 5th day after installing this product, and I've seen zero results. For the difference in price, I should have just used Turfbuilder.
Pros: Easy to Use
Cons: Messy, Didn't work as expected
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We're sorry that you did not receive the fertilizer response that you expected from Scotts Green Max Lawn Food. If repeated applications of fertilizer fail to green the lawn, we recommend that you purchase a soil test kit to check the soil pH.
Also, keep in mind the physical condition of the soil in your yard. Compacted soil, or soil that is very sandy or is mostly clay will not provide an ideal growing condition for turf. Consider core aeration in combination with topdressing. Aeration is the process of poking small holes into the soil using rental power equipment. Topdressing involves applying a thin layer (no more than 1/4 inch thick) of compost or topsoil to the entire surface of the lawn. Scotts Lawn Soil applied in this fashion may greatly improve the turf's response to fertilizer.
We hope that you find this information helpful and we want you to be confident in our products. For this reason, we offer a product guarantee to our consumers. Waste of money

I was very disappointed in this produce. I did not see any results. I have always used Scott's products in the past so I was excited to try this product. 3 days came and went and didn't see anything. Its now been 10 days and still nothing. I would recommend saving your money and just using the Scott's turf builder.
Cons: Didn't work as expected
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We are sorry that you did not receive the fertilizer response that you expected from Scotts Green Max Lawn Food. To get the most out of any fertilizer, we recommend that you maintain your lawn with adequate water and regular feedings. When mowing, remove no more than 1/3 of the grass blade at a time.
If repeated applications of fertilizer fail to green the lawn, we recommend that you purchase a soil test kit to check the soil pH. Soil pH should be between 5.5 - 7.5 for lawns. If it is outside this range, add lime (to raise pH) or soil sulfur (to lower pH) at least once a year in spring or fall.
