OUTSTANDING PRODUCT

I was VERY pessimistic about using this product. I thought it was just another product CLAIMING to make your lawn green. But I was SURPRISINGLY impressed with the results. Within several days, I started to see a HUGE change in the appearance of my lawn. Unfortunately, I got TOO happy with the results and put too much in a couple of trouble areas. Unfortunately, it burned that grass. So be careful with going overboard with this product. Overall, I am EXTREMELY satisfied with this product!

This product did a good job of greening up the yard. Did not see much of a difference compared to other products I've used in the past. Unless the price goes down I will go in a different direction in the future.

Very disappointed long term Scott's user

For many years I've only used Scott's products on my lawn and garden, but I'm unlikely to purchase Scott's again as a result of a recent experience with Greenmax lawn food. My driveway and sidewalks are only 1.5 years old and they now have orange dots and streaks all over them as a result of using this product. Following the application I began sweeping the product residue as I normally do, but it unfortunately started lightly raining prior to the work being completed. Upon realizing the damage, I reviewed some of the comment/responses from others who'd had a similiar experience and as a result ordered a large container of the "Goof Off Outdoor Rust and Stain Remover" recommended by Scott's. Unfortunately after two applications I could barely see a difference in the damage. Replacing the damaged areas will cost me in excess of $4000.00...a huge price to pay for using a product I was hoping would only result in a healthier lawn.
Scott's team - Please advise if you've identified a better solution to correct this problem and PLEASE pull this product from the shelves of you haven't already.
Cons: Messy, Didn't work as expected, ruined driveway and walkways

I have followed the Scotts treatment program for about 4 years now. Right before I went on vacation, i noticied that my lawn was really stressed and dry looking, due to a recent heat wave. I typically have one of the better looking lawns in our neighborhood, and it just didn't meet my liking. It was time to feed the yard anyway, so I decided to try the Green Max. I have to say, within 2-3 days after application and normal watering, my grass was completely transformed and had that deep, blueish green coloring just like KY Bluegrass should look! I will continue to use this product for my between treatment feedings.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This might be the best fertilizer I have ever used from a greening & feeding standpoint. While you have to be careful to keep the fertilizer on the lawn this product has produced the best results in my 45+ years of using fertilizers on my grass. Never had so many positive comments!

This product stains Horribly!

I purchased Green Max for the first time and read all of the instructions very carefully. I did sweep the pellets off of my concrete as directed, but REALLY regret not making 100% absolutely sure that EVERY pellet, thrown from my "whirly" type spreader was removed from any concrete or block work. Each missed pellet leaves a dark "rust" colored stain when it dissolves which DOES NOT wash off even with a power washer. My concrete looks horrible! The product warning needs to be much more specific as to the perils of missing ANY of the pellets and that the stains are permanent!
Cons: Problem with label, permanent stains

Good Product

I used this product this summer and it did help to green out my lawn however one must be careful and sweep any of the product that gets where it's not supposed to be. Some of it got on my sidewalk and left little red spots which is literally rust spot due to the iron in the product.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I used this product last year for the first time and it was beyond great. I was complimented several times on how my lawn looked and asked several times as to what I was using. It turns the lawn a very desirable deep green and helps the lawn to have that full look. One neighbor complimented me on the yard and said that it looked like a carpet.
