I was having a party at my
Home over the weekend and I wanted my lawn to be looking extra sharp. The weekend before the party I used Green Max for that extra push. Wow my lawn really looked sharp!!

Outstanding Deep Green Lawn - but Severly Rust Stained Concrete

This is an outstanding product. After applying it, my lawn developed a lush deep green appearance and is the envy of the neighborhood. Unfortunately, my rust stained brand new sidewalk is now the eyesore of the neighborhood.
The stains are horrible, but are my fault as I did not closely read the fine print of the instructions which clearly stated that over-spray onto concrete must be swept off as soon as possible to avoid rust stains.
I highly recommend the product as it works as advertised, but I Strongly recommend that Scotts print the warning about concrete staining MORE PROMINENTLY.
My neighbors have started to use this product with good results, and have had no concrete staining because they learned from my example and brushed off the over-spray immediately after application.
Pros: Easy to Use, Effective, Value, Quality
Cons: Problem with label, did not highlight concrete staining issue

really greens up grass fast

expensive, but works really good and really fast. I put it on my lawn on a Saturday and I think it was greener by Monday.

Be AWARE - This product STAINS BIGTIME

I applied it then swept the sidewalk and driveway. For an extra measure, I took the leaf blower and blew off these areas as well. Evidently even the smallest granule will leave a lot of stain damage. I thought I had gotten it all off the concrete areas but evidently I did not. Not my sidewalk, driveway and road front are all peppered with rust stains - which are permanent! Given the lack of warnings on the bag, this should institute a class action lawsuit. Shame on Scott - they knew better but we all pay the price!
Cons: Messy, Didn't work as expected, Problem with label, stains everything it comes into contact with
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Now in my 36th gardening season and have always had burning problems with the second lawn fertilization because of high ambient temperatures. So I decided to try Green Max for the first time despite the price. There was no burning/browning issue and my lawn is not only green but also LUSH. Wow!
Pros: Quality, Effective, it not only greens it thickens!
Cons: pricey

This is the second time I have used this product and I am very pleased. My yard looks great. I applied the fertlizer to a dry lawn and then used my leaf blower to blow off my driveway and sidewalks and have had no problem with iron stains.
