Horrible results

I applied this product as directed, had success before with it. Yes, it did stain the concrete, but it warned me on the label. My mistake!! I applied this in the Spring 2015 in South Georgia, on Centipede and St Augustine, by the middle of June, most of it was ruined. Brown patches was an understament. I was scrambling to keep my lawn to some degree of green for the Summer. Ended up overseeding with Burmuda (Which I can not stand).I will need to start over next spring! Will I use more Scott's products?????
Pros: Quality
Cons: Didn't work as expected
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My light Green Lawn is now Brown

All this did was burn my lawn, and I used a Scott's spreader.
Cons: Didn't work as expected, burn't my lawn

I am sorry that you have experienced problems with your lawn following an application of Scotts Green Max Lawn Fertilizer plus 5.17% Iron. Damage can occur if products are accidentally over applied or applied to drought and heat stressed turf. This type of damage can sometimes be minimized by watering 1/2 inch every 3 days if rain is not expected. We suggest that you follow this program for the next 4 weeks if you do not receive sufficient rainfall. We also recommend that you do not apply any other product for the next 4 weeks while your lawn tries to recover from this situation.

Unbelivable!

I am so happy to fida a product that will green up a Texas yard in the summer. Our weather is so hot and dry from May through October that just keeping a lawn alive is a major undertaking. Green Max not only kept it alive but actually made it green and lush. There's no doubt that we have the greenest lawn in the area. My neighbors all think I have some high priced lawn service and they are amazed when I tell them about GREEN MAX!

It does what it advertises

Rarely does an advertised product of any kind do what it is bragging about.
However, in the case of Green Max it does exactly what it says in the amount of time.
An example for me was this past year the grass wasn't too long so it was hard to see the spreader's tire track. Within a week it was noticeable that I didn't do a good job of overlapping.
So in the not so green strips I again spread Max and within three days those areas were as green as the others.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a excellent product....sidewalk and driveway, just too simple to sweep, leaving no trace after 3 more mins of work....neighbors asked 'what I had used to get the deep green...told two of them of the product and stated to sweep away from sidewalk etc.....They 'both are going to try the product!

Iron stains

Good product but I share others that had problems here in that it stained my driveway and sidewalk from iron.
Pros: Effective
Cons: Messy

Green Max not so green max

Product does work well as a fertilizer my grass is growing like crazy but if you are expecting a super green lawn dont hold your breath. I applied the product for a second time this season about a week ago @ 8 weeks from the previous application and followed the instructions provided to a T. Save yourself the hassle of worrying about getting all the granules off your driveway or sidewalk to avoid rust stains and just use regular old turf builder.
Cons: Didn't work as expected

I have been using this product for YEARS now in Southern Idaho.
Regardless of which other general fertilizers I use I always come back to GREEN MAX just to get that DARK DEEP RICH GREEN color on my yard.

Green Max has NEVER failed to yield the results I am looking for!
Its by NO means the cheapest product out there, but when you absolutely positively need to have GREEN GRASS, this is the stuff to use.
