I LIVE IN GLENDALE ARIZONA AND THIS MONTH (MAY) I PURCHASED THE SCOTTS MAX GREEN . THE RESULTS WERE NOT GOOD. THE MAX BURNT MY GRASS AND IT TOOK AT LEAST TWO WEEKS TO GET IT GREEN AGAIN.
MAY YOU SHOULD PUT A WARNING ON T5HE BAG. NOT GOOD FOR ARIZONA HEAT.

Used on front lawn. Used Scott’s regular fertilizer on back & side yard. Front yard lots bad. The remaining areas look great. Will never buy again.

The most common reason a lawn does not respond to fertilizer is soil pH. Soil pH must be between 5.5-7.5 for fertilizer to be absorbed by the grass. You may wish to perform a soil pH test. If the lawn is dormant, it will not absorb the fertilizer or respond to it. The lawn should be receiving at least an inch of water a week. If the lawn has thatch over a 1/2" thick, the product cannot reach the roots. The lawn may also be under stress from disease, insects or drought. A continued or general yellow look may indicate a lack of iron, so an iron supplement may be necessary.

Didn't Work in Winter

I've used this in other seasons and it worked fine but it didn't work in winter. The product says anytime. It's been seven days and my yard has not turned green. I wasted $81.00. Product says guaranteed. I will be investigating that now with the company.

The label notes a regular rate and a recommended rate. There is no information provided on the difference between the 2 rates. The regular rate will cover 14k sq feet as indicated on the front of the bag. I used the regular rate since I needed the coverage. What does applying the recommended rate provide that the regular rate does not?
