REALLY Greens up FAST!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the fastest acting fertilizer I've ever used! The neighbor's lawn is still looking pretty brown while mine is very green! Didn't notice any staining on the cement or the paver stones either. Nice stuff.

Ruined my grass!!! Don’t use this!

Absolutely crestfallen at how yellow and unhealthy my grass now looks since using this poison. Do not buy this. I tested it in my backyard and didn’t notice any difference after three days so I went ahead and figured it was safe to use on my entire property - exactly a week later I have splotchy yellow grass that I’m hoping isn’t going to die on me. Never ever again. I followed the instructions exactly even purchased the spreader. Awful. My hope is I can save you from making the same mistake.

We are sorry that you are unhappy with Scotts Green Max TM Lawn Food. While there is a safety factor built into the product, too much product can cause damage. When temperatures consistently above 85 degrees, water immediately after application to reduce stress on your lawn. We recommend a watering program of 1/2" of water every 2 to 3 days. Follow this watering plan for at least 3 weeks following the application. Most lawns will recover given time. Wonderful Product

Disappointed With Scotts Green Max Lawn Food

Applied this product 2 weeks ago. Followed directions according to bag. Did not see any improvements after 3-4 days and still no improvements after 2 weeks. My lawn yard is in good shape, but I was hoping my lawn would turn greener after using this product. My yard looks the same as it did before applying this product. I have been using Scotts products for many years, but have been disappointed with this product.

The most common reason a lawn does not respond to fertilizer is soil pH Soil pH must be between 5.5-7.5 for fertilizer to be absorbed by the grass. If the lawn isn't receiving at least 1 inch of water per week then the lawn will not green up as fast. When mowing do not remove more than 1/3 of the grass blade at a time. Is thatch over 1/2" thick? This would prevent the nutrients from getting to the plant roots.

Ok product

Burned my lawn into stripes!

I followed the directions perfectly and in three days I didn't get a greener lawn, I got a striped lawn. You can see where the spreader (scott's brand spreader dialed to the exact number specified on the bag) turned and went down each row. DO NOT USE!

Deep Green

I noticed over the past few years that a few of my neighbors had lawns that were deeper green than mine
I finally figured it out. Their sidewalks were stained from irrigation with well water that has higher iron content
Ive used Green Max ever since
Now they ask me how my lawn looks so great
This also aids in needing less water by driving the roots deeper and chokes off the weeds.
