[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I usually try to find Scotts Super Pro fertilizer because it has a lot of nitrogen that greens the lawn up fast in the spring I think it stated on the bag 39-3-3. I could not fine any so I tried Scotts max. It worked ok but was not near as effective as the super pro in the spring to green up the lawn quickly.
Pros: Easy to Use
Cons: not enough nitrogen.

Made My Lawn the Best on the Block

I was a bit skeptical about using this product, but I figured I'd give it a shot since I love a nice vibrant green lawn. Within 5 days of putting GreenMax down my lawn's color began to pop and was a fantastic shade of green that was easily the best on the block. Now I put it on my lawn every 6-8 weeks to maintain color and lawn health.
It will stain concrete, but the bag is clearly labelled and tells you to be sure and sweep it up afterwards. I swept up the product right away and never had a staining issue.
Pros: Easy to Use, Effective
Cons: Messy

I have been using this product for 8 years and it has lived up to what it says it will do. My neighbor asked what I was using on my yard to make it so green. Now he uses it and we have the greenest grass in the neighborhood. My friends and family that visit also remark as to how thick it is. One thing I might add is that if you keep your yard real short and don't water very often then no matter what you do your grass will not green up. But Scott's gives it a deep green when other grass will look a light green in color. I highly recommend this product.

Will Stain

The product is ok, I did not see a big difference in my yard. But, please...please...please remove any left over off of the concrete it does stain, some even got in my pool & now I have a stained area that I can not remove. Not a bad product but nothing special either

Potential to cause fungus

My beautiful lawn developed a fungus after using this product even though I used it exactly as directed. After researching lawn fungus, I found that fertilizers containing high nitrogen levels like this product can make grass weak and become susceptible to fungus.
Cons: too much nitrogen makes grass susceptible 2 fungus
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

OMG It's such a deep green!

I spread this on my lawn about 5 days ago for the first time, it was supposed to rain but it didn't (of course), I limed too. We have lots of dew at night so i would assume it soaked some of it in. It turned such a wonderful deep shade of green. The brown spots have begun to rapidly fill in too. I love this stuff. it is also kid and pet friendly which is really important to me. I would rather feed my lawn so it fills in so there are no weeds vs. using a weed killer. It's better for the environment......

This is a horrible product

Destroyed my backyard lawn. Later, I found out this is why many stores will not carry this product because of to many complaints. I was so careful using this product, even set to a smaller number to not over spread. I always use Scott's products and my front yard is beautiful using Scotts Turf builder Weed and Feed.
Cons: Didn't work as expected
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Brilliant Green !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is AMAZING! Your grass will turn a deep green within 3-5 days with the correct amount of water! Now you do have to have grass for this product to work, so your lawn must be established.
